Week of Learning 11/9

What a wild week with Wednesday off from school and a Field Trip on Friday! :) 

They did AMAZING at the Children's Museum and on the bus. The bus driver said this was the best trip she's taken! :) They earned all their compliments so we get to have a party next week!

Reading:

We continued making connections with Mrs. McNosh this week. 

Letters and Sight Words:

We learned about the letter Dd and the sight words do, to. 

Math:

We started learning about fractions! I know right? We started with the idea that fractions are equal parts and that we can cut something into fractions like halves (2 equal parts) and fourths (4 equal parts). Continue this at home when sharing food, etc. 

Unit Study:

We finished our unit on positional words. Next week we start Thanksgiving!

5MTOW:

Finger Patterns or Bunny Ears:

Make a number 1-10 with your fingers behind your head. That means don't look at them to count the fingers! Now look at your fingers to see if you are correct. Continue with other numbers 1-10. Can you make the number another way?
