Week of Learning 11/23

Reading:

We started making predictions this week with Bear this week. 

To help with our concept of word, we have also been practicing this rhyme, "I'm A Little Teapot". Practice saying it home as well. 

 

After we memorize the pictures, we point to the words below.

We reorder these sentences and then find words in the sentences.

Letter and Sight Words:

We learned about Ee and the sight words: he, be, we, me. We used the analogy strategy for these words. If we know he, then that helps us figure out me, etc. 

This was our cat from last week! :)

Unit Study:

We finished our unit on Thanksgiving! Hope yours was awesome! :) 

Math:

We finished our unit on equal parts or fractions. 

5MTOW:

Play Count Around! (They love this!) Pick a start number (any number between 1 and 100 or higher if your student is able) and a magic number (any number after your start number). You go around and count starting with the start number until you get to the magic number. If you say the magic number, you are out. The next person starts again with the start number. Play continues until 1 person is left.
